Honda Sending Fuel Efficient Models to China

For years, Space Coast Honda located at 1885 Highway 520 in Cocoa, Fl has brought you the most efficient vehicles from Honda. Now, those same gas sipping and hybrid models will head to a place where they are very much needed - China.
The country with over a billion people has (not surprisingly) some of the lowest air quality on the planet. In order to help combat this, Honda Motor Co. is shipping over the greenest variants of their modern vehicles.
Their hope is to sell more fuel-efficient models throughout China beginning in 2012, to boost sales and fall in with the country's new emission standards. The Japanese auto maker will introduce three hybrid models, as well as increase funds for research and development in the country.
Two models that would probably win over the minds of Chinese drivers include Honda Civic CNG (compressed natural gas) and the Honda Fit EV, which still isn't even available in the United States, only in Japan.
"China's emission standards will be one of the strictest in the world going forward," Seiji Kuraishi, Head of China operations, said recently. "If we don't increase the number of green cars here, it would be hard to grow sales."1
