Honda achieved this designation through maintaining the highest projected residual value after five years of new vehicle ownership. The experts at Edmunds.com are some of the most influential in the auto industry, so this award is a huge honor for the automaker.

2012 Honda Fit Crushes Competitors in Subcompact Shootout

It's not surprising that the 2012 Honda Fit is Cars.com's $16,000 Subcompact Shootout winner. After all, the Fit has been garnering awards since its premiere. It's been recognized as a TOP SAFETY PICK by the IIHS, a six-time winner, of Car and Driver's "10BestCars" award, and the 2012 Residential Value Award from ALG, to name a few. So, when it beat out six other compacts  in the Shootout, we weren't exactly shocked.

2012 Honda CR-V Gets a Little Sweeter

Honda has announced a new mall-based marketing program to promote the crossover SUV which will provide free Sprinkles cupcakes to interested drivers. Sprinkles was the world's first cupcake bakery and was originally established in Beverly Hills.

Honda to Invest Almost $100 Million in Ohio Manufacturing Expansion

Honda and other Japanese automakers and auto manufacturers have been plagued with a tough question lately. As the value of the Japanese yen continues to rise, these companies must ask themselves if predominantly producing cars in their home countries is the best idea. Many of these companies have decided that exporting from other places, mainly the United States, would help to ease the financial burden. That's why Honda has taken the initiative to enlarge its Anna and Russells Point plants in Ohio. These plants will soon build new transmission components that are a part of Honda's "Earth Dreams Technology" offerings.

Honda Wants You to Take a Day Off with a 2012 CR-V

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last two weeks, you've seen some of this year's Super Bowl commercials. While most Americans are attracted to the game for the sheer sport of it, there are those that watch the iconic match just to see each year's quirky ads. Super Bowl ads get the most exposure of any advertisements all year, period, and that means they need to be good. This year, Honda brought in the "big guns" with star Matthew Broderick for one of its ad spots and Seinfeld and Leno for its Acura campaign.

Honda Shocks Critics with New NSX Supercar

Japanese auto manufacturer Honda had quite a few surprises up its sleeve for this year's Detroit Auto Show. One of these surprises was the company's announcement that it would be bringing the rare-but adored Acura NSX "supercar" back to life. In addition, this vehicle will be built in Ohio, not in Japan, where the previous model was built from 1990-2005. Media members were so excited about the product that the announcement was received with a standing ovation.
